Head Coach -
Nick Moran
Mr. Moran has over 20 years of
professional hockey experience as both a player
and a coach, including over 6 years with the
NHL. Mr. Moran also played professionally in
the RHI before retiring to coach hockey
full-time. Over the past 14 years, Mr. Moran's
teams have won over 25 national and
international championships. He was the head
coach for the USA/World Hockey Team, as well as
both Team Mission and Team Easton. He is
currently an adjunct coach for the Anaheim
Mighty Ducks, and a member of the AAU Selection
Committee for the United States Olympic Team. In
addition to his professional and collegiate
experience, Mr. Moran was the individual
selected by the Saddleback Valley Unified School
District to establish their high-school roller
hockey program when it was incorporated into the
District's athletic curriculum several years
ago. Under Mr. Moran's leadership, District
teams took first and second place in the Varsity
Division of the Interscholastic Hockey
Federation. This is Mr. Moran’s 2nd year as VP
Hockey Head Coach.

Assistant
Coach - James Fearns
Mr. Fearns is a graduate of Villa Park High School
and was the Captain of the inaugural Villa Park High
School Hockey Team. He has been playing competitive
hockey since 1993, and was Captain of the Bantam
squad for Team USA in 2000 which won the National
Championships at NARCh. This is Mr. Fearns’ 7th
year as a VP Hockey Coach. |

Assistant
Coach - Cody
Silvett
Coach Silvett has been playing competitive hockey
for over 15 years, and has been a member of several
championship NARCh teams, as well as named to the
Pacific Cup all-star team. In addition to coaching
for Villa Park Hockey, Mr. Silvett also serves as an
assistant coach at the collegiate level for the
California State University – Fullerton ice hockey
team. |

Manager - Lisa Scheuerman
Management of
the team is being supervised by Lisa Scheuerman,
who is also responsible for providing required
team/player information to VPHS and OUSD, including
certification of player eligibility and the names
of those qualifying for letter recognition.

|
Team Captain/Asst. Captains
The team will have one Captain and one or two
Assistant Captains who will be chosen by the
coaching staff prior to the start of the regular
season. The Captain is traditionally a senior.
