Lettering - ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENTS |

| General |
| |
Participants in VP Hockey are eligible
to earn a Varsity athletic letter recognized by
Villa Park High School. Those qualifying will receive
the "VP" Varsity letter itself, together
with a certificate attesting to the award. Thereafter,
the player may purchase and wear a Villa Park athletic
letter jacket. Letters will be awarded at the conclusion
of the hockey season to those players who have met
all of the eligibility requirements as set forth
below. |
| Letter Requirements |
| To qualify for
a Varsity Letter, a player must meet all of the
following requirements: |

|
Be enrolled as a student at Villa
Park High School with no suspensions or expulsions
during the season. |
|
|
Maintain a current GPA of at least
2.0, with no "U's" in citizenship in the
current grading period. |
|
|
Agree to comply with the "VP
Hockey Player Code of Conduct". |
|
|
Attend at least 90% of all games and
practices. Absences due to illness, family emergency
or school-related activities will not be counted. |
|
|
Demonstrate, to the satisfaction
of the Coach, superior ability, outstanding work
ethic, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude. |
|
|
Players must
play in at least 50% of the Varsity games. |
|
ANY
ATHLETE WHO QUITS OR IS SUSPENDED FROM THE TEAM
FORFEITS
ANY RIGHT OR CLAIM TO A VARSITY LETTER!

At the conclusion of the season, the
following special recognition will be awarded: |

MVP Award

Will be given to the Most Valuable
Player as selected by the Coach. |
|
Coach's
Award -
|
Will be given to the player who throughout
the season has best exemplified strength of character,
leadership and competitive spirit. |
